Ett fantastiskt Te / Kaffeset i opalglas med dekor av vad jag tror HIM Naser al-Din Shah Qajar of Persia som levde 1831-1896. Det består av sex te/kaffeglas , en sockerskål med lock på en stor rikt dekorerad glasbricka. Glasen rymmer drygt en deciliter styck. Varje glas är dekorerat med en porträttbild på framsidan och ett på baksidan och har förgyllningar runt porträtten och på ena sidan finns en vacker dekor. Sockerskålen verkar ha färgen pålagd efteråt och har även den två porträtt på locket och två på skålen. Skålen har rika dekorer/ förgyllningar. Brickan mäter 32,5 cm i diameter och även den verkar ha färg och dekor tillagd efteråt . Brickan har fem porträtt och även den har rik dekor/ förgyllning. Te/kaffesetet är i mycket fint skick, men man kan se att förgyllningen har fått ett lätt slitage på ett par ställen på brickan . Det finns även en liten repa i färgen på ena sidan. Hela setet är i ljus turkosblå nyans. Varje del är i massivt glas och setet väger nästan 3 kilo. Det här är inte nytillverkat utan jag tror att det är från 1900-talets andra del. Däremot kan jag inte bekräfta att det är tillverkat i Iran.
Tea / Coffee Set in Opal Glass with Decor No1
A fantastic Tea / Coffee set in opal glass with decoration of what I believe to be HIM Naser al-Din Shah Qajar of Persia who lived 1831-1896. It consists of six tea/coffee glasses, a sugar bowl with a lid on a large richly decorated glass tray. The glasses hold just over a deciliter each. Each glass is decorated with a portrait image on the front and one on the back and has gilding around the portraits and on one side there is a beautiful decoration. The sugar bowl appears to have had the paint applied afterwards and also has two portraits on the lid and two on the bowl. The bowl has rich decorations/gilding. The tray measures 32.5 cm in diameter and it also seems to have color and decoration added afterwards. The tray has five portraits and it too has rich decoration/gilding. The tea/coffee set is in very good condition, but you can see that the gilding has been slightly worn in a couple of places on the tray. There is also a small scratch in the paint on one side.The entire set is in a light turquoise blue shade. Each part is made of solid glass and the set weighs almost 3 kilos. This is not newly manufactured but I believe it is from the second part of the 20th century. However, I cannot confirm that it is made in Iran.
