Det här är en antik militär rysk brosch, Coat of Arms. Den är från Tsartiden och jag skulle tro att den är från 1800-talets andra del. Det intressanta med den här broschen är att den genomgått flera förvandlingar. Först och främst så är den i silver med en turkos på framsidan. Det går tyvärr inte att se stämplarna på baksidan då det är fastlött ett spänne där stämplarna troligen sitter. Från början verkar den ha suttit fast på en uniform då det finns två hål på örnens vingar. Sedan har den gjorts om till ett spänne med hyskor fastlödda och till sist har den gjorts om till en brosch med en fastlödd nål på baksidan. Om man tittar under turkosen så kan man se att det är en vapensköld under den. Turkosen som sitter fastlödd på mitten har nog blivit ditsatta samtidigt som den blev förvandlad till brosch. Turkosen är monterad med en snörkant. Jag har sett att det förekommer ofta att de här ryska broscherna har en turkos i mitten men vet inte betydelsen, jag tror att omarbetningen är en modernisering vilket innebär att den kan vara ännu äldre än vad jag angett. Den mäter 5,5 cm på bredaste punkten och 5,5 cm på hojden och slutligen väger den 24 gr. Den är väldigt vacker i sitt använda och omarbetade skick och den är verkligen en klenod.
Russian Antique Military Brooch Coat of Arms
This is an antique military Russian brooch, Coat of Arms. It is from the Tsarist era and I would think it is from the second half of the 19th century. The interesting thing about this brooch is that it has undergone several transformations. First of all, it is in silver with a turquoise on the front. Unfortunately, you can’t see the stamps on the back as there is a buckle soldered where the stamps are probably located. Initially, it seems to have been attached to a uniform as there are two holes on the eagle’s wings. Then it was converted into a buckle with hooks soldered on and finally it was converted into a brooch with a soldered pin on the back. If you look under the turquoise, you can see that there is a coat of arms under it. The turquoise that is soldered in the middle was probably added at the same time it was transformed into a brooch. The turquoise is mounted with a lace edge. I have seen that it often happens that these Russian brooches have a turquoise in the middle but do not know the meaning, I think that the reworking is a modernization which means that it may be even older than what I have stated. It measures 5.5 cm at the widest point and 5.5 cm at the height and finally it weighs 24 grams. It is very beautiful in its used and reworked condition and it is truly a gem.
