Den här gången har jag inspirerats av Dala Floda dräkten från Dalarna. Jag ville göra en modern variant som passar i vår tid men att man ändå kan se var inspirationen kommer från. Dräkterna är kända för att vara fulla av färg och för sina fantastiska broderier. Under den senare delen av 1800-talet utvecklades dräkten med en unik särprägel och stor variation. Att dräkterna är så färgrika och särskilt de äldre bruddräkterna sägs bero på att de var fattiga och inte hade pengar till bland annat dyra smycken. som förekommer bland dräkter där man hade mer resurser. Vad man gjorde istället var att skapa med färg, band, pärlor och även små pappersrosetter. Här har jag tagit en blommig läderjacka till en linnekjol. Under kjolen är det en fanastisk broderad underkjol som jag tänkte att den borde synas. Man kan fästa upp kjolen så att underkjolen kommer fram. Till det har jag tagit en broderad bomullsblus, jag kände att jag inte kunde få för mycket blommor. I midjan sitter ett handbroderat ylleskärp med stort bronsspänne från Peru. Väskan är en vintage broderad liten sammetsväska. Huvudbonaden är en broderad keps i sammet och slutligen är skorna ett par mycket moderna boots i läder. Jag höll nästan på att glömma, i fickan satte jag en liten bomullsnäsduk med knypplad spets. Alla delarana är i naturmaterial. Det är en blandning i ålder på delarna, det finns både antikt, vintage och modernt, men allt är återvunnet. Som tidigare köps alla delarna separat där storlek, bakgrund så gott det går och mått på plaggen så att man vet att de passar. Slutligen är det ett pris på varje produkt.
Modern Folk Costume Inspired by Traditional Costumes
This time I was inspired by the Dala Floda costume from Dalarna. I wanted to make a modern version that fits our time but that you can still see where the inspiration comes from. The costumes are known for being full of color and for their fantastic embroidery. During the later part of the 19th century, the costume developed with a unique distinctiveness and great variation. The fact that the costumes are so colorful and especially the older bridal costumes is said to be because they were poor and did not have money for expensive jewelry, among other things. which occurs among costumes where people had more resources..What they did instead was to create with paint, ribbons, beads and even small paper bows. Here I have taken a floral leather jacket for a linen skirt. Under the skirt is a fantastic embroidered petticoat that I thought should be visible. You can fasten the skirt up so that the petticoat comes out. For that I have taken an embroidered cotton blouse, I felt that I could not have too many flowers. At the waist is a hand-embroidered woolen belt with a large bronze buckle from Peru. The bag is a vintage embroidered small velvet bag. The headgear is an embroidered velvet cap and finally the shoes are a pair of very modern leather boots. I almost forgot, in the pocket I put a small cotton handkerchief with lace. All the parts are made of natural materials. There is a mixture of age on the parts, there is both antique, vintage and modern, but everything is recycled. As before, all the parts are purchased separately where size, background as best as possible and measurements of the garments so that you know they fit. Finally, there is a price for each product.
