Beskrivning
Det här är en så kallad trinketbox, en liten dosa att förvara småsaker i eller för läpp-pomada och rouge. Den är tillverkad i Jasperware av Wedgwood 1893. Vad som är så annorlunda med den här lilla dosen förutom åldern är färgen. Kulören heter yellow pomade och är en mycket ovanlig gul nyans som enbart finns på antika Wedgwood föremål. Den gula nyansen är därför svår att tillverka, vilket gjorde att det finns väldigt få . Motiven på dosan är , Nike and the Warrior och runt sidorna är det motiv av änglar som troligtvis är av Lady Templetown(1746-1823). Dosan är märkt V, 2, och ett tillverkarmärke. Underst står det England. Dosan mäter 5,5 x 4 cm och är i absolut nyskick, mint condition.
Small box in yellow Jasperware from Wedgwood
This is a so-called trinket box, a small box to store small items in, or for lip pomade and blush. It is made in Jasperware by Wedgwood in 1893. What is so different about this little dose besides age is the color. The color is called yellow pomade and is a very unusual yellow shade that is only found on antique Wedgwood objects. The yellow shade is very difficult to manufacture, which meant that there are very few. The motives on the box are, Nike and the Warrior and around the sides are the motif of angels that are probably by Lady Templetown (1746-1823). The box is marked V, 2, and have a manufacturer’s mark. At the bottom it says England. The box measures 5.5 x 4 cm and is in absolute new condition, mint condition.
