Här är ytterligare ett fantastiskt schackspel . Det är vintage , troligen från mitten av 1900-talet och från Italien. Det fanns en tradition med handskurna schackspel från södra Europa och Mexiko in på 1900-talet. De är sällsynta och det är svårt att se exakt var dom kommer från, men stilen verkar vara italiensk. De här pjäserna är i perfekt skick, de verkar ha legat nerpackade i mer eller mindre oanvänt skick. De är skurna i ett mycket lätt träslag, de väger inte mycket. Den högsta pjäsen mäter 10 cm och den minsta 7 cm.
Schackbrädan ingår inte, det fanns inte något bräde till pjäserna.
Italian Hand Cut Chess Pieces
Here is another great chess game. It is vintage, probably from the mid-20th century and from Italy. There was a tradition of hand-cut chess sets from southern Europe and Mexico into the 20th century. They are rare and it is hard to tell exactly where they come from, but the style seems to be Italian. These pieces are in perfect condition, they appear to have been unpacked in more or less unused condition. They are cut from a very light type of wood, they do not weigh much. The tallest piece measures 10 cm and the smallest 7 cm.
The chessboard is not included, there was no board for the pieces.
