Cigarettskrin i mässing och koppar och emalj. Asken är troligen från 1800 talet och är gjord i tekniken guilloche som innebär att metallen har ett graverat mönster som sedan emaljeras. Tekniken blev populär runt sekelskiftet 1800-1900 , då Tsaren lät tillverka Fabergé äggen. Askens botten och innersidorna är av trä, troligen balsaträ på grund av det lätta materialet. Det har inte riktigt gått att bestämma ursprunget, men troligen kommer skrinet från Österrike eller England. På skrinets locks insida är det stämplat , LI3 . Emaljen har ett lätt bruksslitage , i övrigt är skrinet i mycket gott skick.
Antique Cigarette Case
Cigarette case in brass and copper and enamel. The box is probably from the 19th century and is made in the guilloche technique, which means that the metal has an engraved pattern which is then enamelled. The technique became popular around the turn of the century 1800-1900, when the Tsar had Fabergé make the eggs. The bottom and inside of the box are made of wood, probably balsa wood due to the light material. It has not been possible to determine the origin, but the casket probably comes from Austria or England. On the inside of the lid of the casket it is stamped, LI3. The enamel has a slight wear and tear, otherwise the box is in very good condition.
