En fantastisk tekanna från Copeland Late Spode. Kannan har en djup olivgrön nyans med motiv i benvitt. Motivet är inspirerat av Wedgwoods , the dancing hours och har blomstergirlanger runt locket. På locket är motivet blad och knoppen är förgylld liksom lockkanten,runt öppningen och en förgylld rand runt hela kannan. Pipen och handtaget har en beige ton. Kannan är stor och mäter 24 cm från pip till handtag och mäter 15 cm på höjden. Tekannan rymmer 1,4 liter. Den är tillverkad någon gång mellan 1894-1910 och är i mint condition.
Tekannan är ett utmärkt exemplar på en tid när tedrickandet var en samlingspunkt och en stor del av den engelska kulturen. Dessutom är den också en del av Englands fantastiska porslinstillverkning där inte så många företag finns kvar idag och på en utdöende konstart.
Antique Teapot from Copeland-Spode
A fantastic Copeland Late Spode teapot. The jug has a deep olive green shade with motifs in off-white. The motif is inspired by the Wedgwoods, the dancing hours and has flower garlands around the lid. On the lid, the motif is a leaf and the knob is gilded, as is the edge of the lid, around the opening and a gilded stripe around the entire jug. The spout and handle have a beige tone. The jug is large and measures 24 cm from spout to handle and measures 15 cm in height. The teapot holds 1.4 litres. It was manufactured sometime between 1894-1910 and is in mint condition.
The teapot is an excellent example of a time when tea drinking was a focal point and a large part of English culture. In addition, it is also part of England’s fantastic porcelain manufacturing where not many companies remain today and on a dying art form.
